Makeup Forever HD Foundation Stick Review

To say that I was reluctant to try the MUFE Foundation Stick is an understatement. The idea of foundation in a stick made me shudder. It brought to mind visions of a greasy, cakey mess and I just thought no, absolutely not. There were many things that I was willing to try; skydiving, oysters, a fringe, but foundation sticks were not one of them.

As you can probably tell, this stubbornness lasted all of ten minutes. Following persistent mentions from my favourite bloggers I was quickly persuaded to buy it. Sometimes you've just got to admit that you got it wrong. This was one of those times.

Contrary to all my previous convictions, this foundation feels very light. In fact I don't really notice that I'm wearing anything at all, which is particularly impressive considering the coverage. Whilst it can be sheered out, this magic stick of wonders also does one hell of a full face job.

There was one scary moment within the first week of using it when I thought it was breaking me out. I soon learned however that it was milk that was causing the issues not the foundation. So whilst grieving the loss of cheese in my life (RIP) I happily slap this on my face.

So now my only remaining qualm about the whole thing is for my oily-skinned beauties out there. I personally have normal-dry skin and find this stuff to be pretty glowy. It definitely doesn't provide a matte look and I fear that the 'glow' might be a little bit much for some, especially as the day wears on.

However, overall I am very impressed. Whilst I still love my Estee Lauder Double Wear, I find myself reaching for this constantly. It's definitely one that I will always keep in my collection.

  1. I've heard a lot about this stick foundation, but the main thing that puts me off using it is the fact that it's not exactly the most hygienic is it....?!
