My Handbag Lust List

Over the past 21 years I have developed a deeply fanatical attachment to handbags. This is likely a result of having size 9 feet which prevented me from developing any meaningful relationship with shoes. I frequently take revision breaks to peruse the net-a-porter website, scrolling fervently and gawping at the beautiful shoulder bags, purses and backpacks. Much like the rest of my online browsing (I'm looking at you, Buzzfeed Quizzes) this is a complete waste of my time. The likelihood of me; a student living in London, ever being able to afford one of these beauties is slim to none. Not only that but the chances of me affording one after my degree have been significantly reduced by my choice to study English. Maybe law wasn't so bad after all? But hey, a girl can dream. These are the six bags that have pride of place in my heart at the moment.

1 // Chanel Quilted Boy Bag Large
I love the Chanel Boy bags. They're completely classic and look incredible with everything. They certainly won't be going out of style anytime soon.

2 // Chloe Mini Drew Shoulder Bag
Chloe are a favourite of mine for bags. They're always very clean cut and sophisticated. The tan colour of this Drew bag is so beautiful and perfectly suited to both burnt orange autumns or bohemian summers.

3 // Gucci Marmont
I am a sucker for velvet. The first time I saw the Gucci Marmont I fell head over heels in love. The berry tone and gold hardware go so beautifully together and it's completely like anything I've ever seen before.

4 // Gucci Soho Leather Disco Bag
This is the perfect grab-and-go, phone, wallet and keys bag. I'm not usually particularly drawn to red bags but there's something really striking but simple about this one.

5 // Chloe Medium Faye Bag
This has been doing the rounds. Everyone and their mother has one and I've seen high street dupes here, there and everywhere. Despite that, I still absolutely love it. The circular hardware and structured trapezium shape is so unique.

6 // Givenchy Antigona
The Givenchy Antigona is the only larger bag that has really caught my eye. I love how structured and sturdy it is.

  1. a chanel boy bag is my ultimate dream. its just so beautiful and i know i will have one at some point in my life.
