Prints at Palais Royal

When I booked a trip to Paris to celebrate my boyfriend’s 21st birthday, I knew we’d be making a stop at Palais Royal. The architecture looked so beautiful and the candy-striped columns of the courtyard too delicious to miss. It was far less busy than I’d expected it to be in the height of summer. The bossyboots soon made an appearance and Rory was forced into taking blog photos.

We were so lucky with the weather on our first day in Paris, particularly as it had been raining all week previously. The sun shined all day long, which meant that I could take my new kimchi dress for a spin. I fell in love with the print after seeing Suzie from Hello October wear it in a video. Upon close inspection you can see an intricate pattern of flowers, weaving their way through one another. However, I think it perhaps looks even more beautiful from a distance. The multitude of blues give the dress so much movement and vibrancy. I can sometimes be a little unsure of bardot styles as I feel they make my shoulders look broad and awkward. The frilled detailing and shirred bodice on this counteracts that nicely though and I feel girly and wonderful whenever I wear it.
