Inspirational Content #5: Happiness Planners, Nutrition and Audiobooks

1 // Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty

This isn't my usual kind of read but I heard someone raving about the narration of the audiobook and thought I'd give it a go. I'm so glad I did because I absolutely raced through this book. The characters were so interesting and it often had me laughing out loud. This is the only fictional book I've read that I think I've gained something from listening rather than just reading. Caroline Lee's narration is just so perfect. It was like watching TV in my head.

2 // @ellenfisher

Ellen Fisher's instagram account has been a long term obsession of mine. Her photography is completely stunning and I love seeing photos of her beautiful blonde-haired kids and gorgeous Hawaiian beaches. She makes youtube videos about veganism, compassionate living and gentle parenting. Her videos are always so well-edited and have the same calming feel that Ellen herself exudes. She also recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl!

3 // Happiness Planner

I love my Happiness Planner, so I thought I'd give it a little shout-out this week. As the name suggests, it's a planner specifically designed to increase happiness and positivity. I use it every day, religiously, and find that it's really aided in changing my mindset.

4 // Wellness with Liz Earle Podcast, Episode 33: The Medicinal Chef, Daniel Pinnock

I listened to Liz's podcast for the first time on a whim on a bus ride to New York. Her conversation with Daniel Pinnock was so interesting that I'll definitely be tuning in to more episodes in future. She's also got one of those voices that is just wonderful to listen to. The two talk about the amazing qualities of nutritious foods and how the right ones can fight all kinds of diseases. Until fairly recently, I was pretty blind as to just how powerful nutrition can be. It's so empowering to know that you have some control over your own health, simply through fuelling yourself with the right things.
