Inspirational Content #10: Imperfection, Productivity and Success

'The reality is sometimes you lose and you're never too good to lose'. In this four minute video, Beyonce talks about her experience with losing. She explains the importance of it as an opportunity for growth and method of motivation. Failing is something that can either make us or break us, give us the excuse to give it all up or provides a fire in our belly tells us to carry on. This clip gave me the important reminder that failing does not make me a failure. It gives me the opportunity to be better than I've ever been before.

2 // This Is How I Do So Much - Productivity Tips, Hannah McNeeley

Hannah is a productivity machine and has some really great tips to share. I particularly found it interesting to think about my priorities and whether the way I worked actually reflected what was most important to me.

3 // 15 Questions You Should Ask Yourself If You Want to Be Successful by Elizabeth Smith, Career Girl Daily 

I loved this article! I think it would be a really useful exercise to write down your answers to each question. It would give you a clear idea of what exactly it is you want and the type of person you are, things that we perhaps don't spend enough time thinking about.

4 // Wild: A Journey From Lost to Found by Cheryl Strayed

I'm about three quarters of the way through this on audiobook and I'm completely loving it. I'd been meaning to read it for a while but wasn't sure it was for me. I'm so glad I suddenly felt compelled to buy it. It's memoir following Cheryl's hike of the pacific crest trail following the death of her mother and her struggle with drugs. It's a fantastic read that's both funny and inspirational. It's making me want to sell everything I own and jump on a plane to California.

Leila has a fab health instagram account (@leilamspencer) and has recently started her own website. I love what a holistic view she takes on health, including not just nutrition and exercise but also mental health, self-improvement and spirituality. I would highly recommend checking her out!
